Write down information on how much the company pays you, how they pay you, what console they specialize in, what they expect in their applicants, and how to contact them. By creating a simple company list with all the companies that you are thinking of joining, you're going to get one step closer than your competition by writing down information that they will soon forget.
  • Try out beta games. They might not pay you to play the games, but it'll be great practice for your future. By playing a free beta game, you get the hang of how the video game testing industry works and how you should better improve yourself.
  • Keep trying out new games that you can play. Don't stop playing! Companies want people that have tons of experience, so give it to them. Get as much experience as you can, and everything will sort of just fall into place.
  • Write blogs or shoot videos telling people about different bugs in the games that you've played. This will give you better communication skills which are vital to your video game testing career because of the documents you have to write on every bug that you find.
